AAV‑IKV outer retinal transduction
AAV‑IKV enabled transgene delivery to photoreceptors and RPE from an intravitreal route in murine studies, with Nrf2 expression reducing oxidative stress markers in the retina.
Evidence base
Visiogene’s programs are grounded in studies of retinal penetrating AAV, cell‑penetrating chaperone delivery, wet AMD biology, glaucoma biology, and protein/gene editing delivery.
Evidence themes
The science package supports three major themes: delivery to ocular tissues, disease biology around decorin and TGFβ, and the ability to transport diverse cargo into retinal cells.
AAV‑IKV enabled transgene delivery to photoreceptors and RPE from an intravitreal route in murine studies, with Nrf2 expression reducing oxidative stress markers in the retina.
Nuc1 was designed to bind retinal cell surface features and support delivery of cargo including proteins, antibodies, peptides, steroids, decorin, and AAV.
AAV‑IKV‑Decorin data support activity against CNV and fibrosis in wet AMD models and against TGFβ2‑driven IOP, fibrosis, and retinal ganglion cell loss in glaucoma models.
Selected publications and manuscripts

Development posture
All Visiogene product candidates are investigational. The current site language is intentionally oriented toward strategic and scientific audiences, not patients or prescribing physicians.
AAV‑IKV and Nuc1 studies establish feasibility across retinal and anterior segment settings.
Decorin programs apply the platform to wet AMD and glaucoma biology.
Next steps include further characterization, manufacturing strategy, toxicology planning, and indication prioritization.
Scientific foundation
Visiogene is advancing preclinical programs built from peer-reviewed retinal delivery research.
